"This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" (2 Cor. 5:17 NLT)

"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14 NLT)

9/11 Reflections

Today 12 years ago, I was at work and we were all watching in horror on a TV in one of the offices. We all hugged one another and cried. I sped home to our daughter. She was about 2 1/2 months old. I couldn't wait to get home, see her smiling face, hold her and love on her. I couldn't wait for my husband to get home and wrap my arms around him. I couldn't squeeze either of them tight enough or love on them enough.

As we reflect back today and remember all those who were lost and those who were left behind with lost loved ones, we need to graciously and humbly thank God for the multitude of blessings that He has given to each and every one of us.

We all need to squeeze our loved ones a little tighter today and make sure they know how much we love and cherish them. Things can change in a blink of an eye. There are thousands out there that would love another opportunity to squeeze their loves ones today. We shouldn't take a single moment for granted.

I want our children to know that they are the world to me and I love them with all I have. I want my husband to know he is the other half of my heart and I love him with every fiber of my being. I thank God every day for giving me my husband and wonderful kids. They are my life.

I want my family to know that I love each and every one of them so much. I want my friends to know that I love them and am happy to have them in my life.

So hold your loved ones a little tighter today. Hug them...a lot. Tell them how much you love them and what they mean to you.  And thank God for placing them in your life!!!
