"This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" (2 Cor. 5:17 NLT)

"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14 NLT)

Become Part of the Bike: Trust and Lean with Him

"I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight..." (Isaiah 45:2 NKJV)

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV)

When learning to ride a motorcycle, your first instinct when entering a curve is to lean in the opposite way of the bike, believing it will counteract the weight and keep you balanced and upright.  We are hesitant and fearful of leaning with the bike, believing that we will fall and get hurt.

The thrill and success comes when we let go and stop trying to control the bike.  When we let go of this fear and lean with the bike, we navigate curves successfully.  We become one with the bike and find ourselves gliding smoothly around the snaky curves.  Motions become fluid and natural.

We go through our lives, much in this same manner.  Instead of following the path the Lord has laid out for us, we lean in the opposite direction.  We want to do what feels safe and comfortable to us.  We want to do what we think is the right path.  We don’t want to fall.  We don’t want to fail.  We don’t want to get outside of our comfort zones.

It is when we let go and lean with Him that our lives navigate more smoothly.  He sees every twist, turn, bump and obstacle in the road ahead.  He navigates us through life when we lean with Him and relinquish our need for constant control over our lives.

Let go and let God.  Become apart of the bike.  Trust Him and lean with Him!
